Jun 28, 2023 · Ritchie Valens was an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He was a pioneer of Rock' n' Roll and well known as the founding father of the Chicano rock movement. Valens died on 3 February 1959 at the age of 17. Before his death, his estimated net worth was around $500,000.
